The Janet Cards

“The Janet Cards” started as a simple request for an illustration for (maybe) a tattoo. Janet requested an illustration that incorporated mementos of her loved ones (husband David, son Zach, brother Kendrick, and sister Terry) who have unfortunately passed away. I struggled with coming up with a single image that would represent all of them equally, though I tried (see one example below). I ultimately decided to give each one their own space by creating four illustrations in card format (proportions are equal to playing cards, but scaled up).

Each card is 8.5″x11″ at full scale and done completely in digital format.
