For my sister-in-law’s 2023 Christmas gift, I created this lantern with Ghibli Crystal Puzzle panels.
I’d discovered these really cool Ghibli Crystal Puzzles on Amazon and bought several of them. I knew I was going to ultimately give them to my sister-in-law (who loves anything Ghibli!), but I wanted to do something with them. Four days before Christmas, 2023, I decided I wanted to use them as translucent panels for a Japanese-style lantern.
My plan was to build the lantern so she would be able to put the puzzles together, slide them into each panel and put the lantern together. Unfortunately, because of my limited time, I ended up having to build the entire lamp myself.
Going forward, I plan to rework the design so it’s made to be assembled as I intended. So, if you want one, just contact me about it. These are $120+shipping, and I only ship to the continental U.S.
